Kira
Hey there! My name is Kira and I've been a long time resident of Arizona. I wasn't born here but I moved here when I was 4, so that pretty much counts right!? I am blessed to not only be a daughter and a sister but a wife and a mother too! You might say my daughter, Aida, was my inspiration and source of confidence for going out on a limb and trying something crazy.... A home bakery! I've always been told that I have a knack for cooking and baking and it wasn't until I desperately wanted to stay home to raise my daughter that I finally listened to the compliments. It is amazing what your children will inspire in you. Then I contacted Devon, my cousin, and it probably went sort of like this: "Woman! It's your crazy cousin here. I want to stay home and raise my babies, and I know you want that too when you finally start a little, adorable family of your own, and we would be great business partners, and we like each other a lot, care to be crazy and start something awesome together?" The long and short... She said yes!! No guys, I didn't go to Jared. Kidding kidding. That was lame. I'm a healthy food advocate and I love home cooked meals and goodies (I mean really you can never go back once you've experienced the awesomeness that is a home cooked meal) and am always proud to share them and prove that food items and ingredients can look and taste delicious and still be garbage free! By garbage I mean artificial flavors and colors, hormones, preservatives, chemicals, you name it. I don't like that stuff. And I don't think you do either! We're friends already! So! What better way to be here for my daughter, help my husband pay the bills, and do something I am good at and enjoy, to share with you all!
Devon
If you’re reading this, then let me say it is a pleasure to meet you! My mother always stressed the importance of proper manners, and now that we have exchanged pleasantries, let me introduce myself. My name is Devon, like Devonshire crème, and much like this culinary delight, I am both traditional and nutty. Born and raised in Texas, I recently decided to pack up and move to much dryer pastures. My inspirations are baking and my family, so when crazy cousin Kira called upon me and proclaimed she wanted to go for the full Monty of opening a bakery, I was ecstatic and inspired. What started out as two little ladies with a mutual goal of creating the mo(i)st, decadent, delicious cupcakes and confectionery, has turned into a journey far greater than either of us imagined. I am proud of the product we serve because our scrumptious treats, free of artificial flavors and preservatives, provided for your family, are the same I give to mine. I hope our Cinnamon Apple Fritter make you feel warm and snugly, our sugar cookies bring back fond memories of your childhood, and our Sonoran cupcakes inspire you to share and savor our treats with your friends and family. First step scrumptious baked goods... second step world domination!
